What we collect and why
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form, email or phone us, we collect your name, contact details, property address and project details. We use them to respond to you and to provide a quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Party wall work. When we act for you, we process the information needed to prepare notices, schedules of condition and awards. This includes details of the owners and properties involved, and photographs. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract and compliance with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
- Website analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Our lawful basis is your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for up to 12 months if you don't instruct us. If you do instruct us, we keep project records, including awards and schedules of condition, for as long as they may be needed to deal with any claim. This is normally at least six years after the work is completed.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to carry out party wall work: with the other owners and surveyors involved, and with the building owner's contractors where relevant. We also use trusted service providers for email, website hosting and analytics. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we process it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
